В центре внимания автора – меняющиеся взгляды политических элит страны на участие и роль негосударственных акторов в увеличении «мягкой силы», подходы британских экспертов к оценке эффективности данного направления внешнеполитической деятельности государства. Автор сопоставляет вклад различных ведомств в политику «мягкой силы», отношение исполнительной и законодательной ветвей власти к инициативам в данной области, приводит примеры использования «мягкой силы» во внешней политике Соединенного Королевства и определяет отличительные особенности британских инициатив и программ по сравнению с другими странами.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Abstract: The article examines today’s British soft power goals and objectives, analyses infl uencing factors, political and institutional aspects. The author focuses on the developing perspectives on the roles and participation of non-state actors soft power policies, the ways of measuring effectiveness of such policies.
